Kosovo is a landlocked country located in southeastern Europe, and is recognized as a partially recognized state. It is bordered by Serbia to the north and east, North Macedonia to the southeast, Albania to the southwest, and Montenegro to the west. Kosovo has a complex political status due to its disputed independence from Serbia, which was declared in 2008.
